Knight Frank raises hopes for country houses

Knight Frank has reported that price falls in the prime country house market halved during the first quarter thanks to increased buyer demand.

The average prime rural property lost 4.7% of its value in the quarter to the end of March. This compared with a 9% fall in the final quarter of 008.

Knight Frank said the bottom of the market looked close in the Home Counties.
