Guy Napier, the head of Knight Frank’s City office, is to retire next April after 25 years with the firm.
Napier, who has had a 30-year career in the City of London investment market, will continue to run the office until April.
A successor has not yet been decided upon.
Napier said: “After nearly 30 years in the City, 25 with Knight Frank, I have decided it is time for a change in lifestyle and therefore informed the partnership I wish to retire in April next year.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the City but specifically with Knight Frank, who go from strength to strength not just in London but around the globe as clients seek the highest quality advice particularly in these challenging times.”
KF senior partner Nick Thomlinson added: “Guy has been a major contributor to the partnership over the past 25 years. Latterly, he has led the City office from strength to strength; the firm will truly miss his joie de vivre and dynamism.”
Alistair Elliott, head of commercial division, said: “I have worked with Guy since 1989 and it has always been entertaining. He has been an integral part of the partnership, adding value in countless ways and we will be sad to see him leave.
“We will continue to grow our central London platform. The teams have had a superb year so far and this is set to continue as we focus on providing expert advice to both landlords and tenants across the capital linking in to our global business.”
