After an exceptionally strong year there is new name at the top of the Leeds office disposals league table. Knight Frank has claimed its first pole position after almost doubling the amount of space it transacted in the year to the end of July compared to the previous 12 months.
Across 51 deals, which included a 46,000 sq ft letting to Burberry at the remodelled 6 Queen Street as well as 22,000 sq ft to BW Legal at Enterprise House, Knight Frank enjoyed a bumper year in Leeds. The result follows recent office table-topping performances in Newcastle and Sheffield.
The biggest challenge for the top spot came from regional specialist Carter Towler which, despite notching up one more deal than Knight Frank, finished almost 60,000 sq ft behind.
Overall totals were down on last year, suggesting most agents are starting to feel the pinch caused by a shortage of new-build space on the market.
