Knight Real Estate is to build a 36,7000 sq ft facility for drilling contractor PSL in Aberdeen’s Badentoy Industrial Estate, and is also putting the 70,000 sq ft former ENI building in the Scottish city back on the market.
The £3m PSL facility will consist of a 10,000 sq ft office building, 22,700 sq ft workshop and warehousing and 4,000 sq ft concrete yard.
Work should be completed by September 2006.
James Barrack, managing director of Knight, explained that the site is based in a strategic location for PSL, which has existing facilities in Badentoy.
The drilling contractor has signed a 20 year lease.
“This shows a huge commitment to the Aberdeen market,” said Barrack.
Knight will start marketing the former ENI building in Redmoss on the outskirts of the city on Monday, offering potential tenants 54,000 sq ft of office space and 16,000 sq ft of warehouse space.
The building is being targeted at the oil and gas sector. “We have had quite a few enquiries already.
“The market in Aberdeen is hot at the moment,” commented Barrack.
Knight also expects to complete the Chameleon Business Park in Livingstone and Phase 2 of Kirkhill Business Park in Dyce, Aberdeen later this year.
