Krispy Kreme has signed up to Capital Shopping Centre’s catering development at Metrocentre in Gateshead.
The doughnut specialist will open a 4,000 sq ft drive-thru Hotlight store at MetrOasis. The 15,000 sq ft development will sit between Metrocentre and the adjacent Metro retail park.
Krispy Kreme joins Starbucks, which will open a standalone 1,800 sq ft drive thru store, and Mitchells & Butlers, which is opening two restaurants.
MetrOasis was originally granted planning permission last summer and it is due to be completed in the autumn.
