Kyle Stewart beats Marylebone Warwick Balfour to Exeter leisure site

Kyle Stewart Properties and Crownwood Estates have been picked to develop British Rail Property Board’s Central Station Yard site in Exeter, beating off a rumoured bid from Marylebone Warwick Balfour.

The pair, who offered BRPB more than £2.5m for the 1.6 ha (4 acre) site, want to build an £8m leisure scheme including a restaurant/nightclub and a famility entertainment centre.

Kyle Stewart hopes to put in a planning application for the 7,432sq m (80,000sq ft) development in the New Year. The site has an existing consent for a new courthouse, but is identified for residential and mixed use in the draft Local Plan.

Molyneux Rose advised the developers and are joint letting agents with Alder King.
