L&G set to make splash in Poole

Legal & General Property is talks to buy the 496,000 sq ft Dolphin Centre in Poole, Dorset, from Weraldhave.

Dutch investor Weraldhave is in the process of disposing of its UK assets.

EGi revealed yesterday that the firm is in negotiations with British Land to sell it the bulk of its UK portfolio for around £180m.

The sale of the Dolphin Centre to L&G for around £60m, would complete its retail exit from the country.

Wereldhave bought the Dolphin centre from Grosvenor for £80m in 2010.

Cushman & Wakefield is advising Wereldhave; Briant Champion Long is acting for L&G.
