A restaurant, the civil service social club and the QE2 conference centre could all be sold under plans unveiled by Labour.
The party believes it could raise £100m by disposing of four ‘non-essential’ buildings, and use the money to pay down the national debt.
But Marlborough House, in the Mall, is expected to gain the lion’s share. The Christopher Wren-designed building, used free of charge by the commonwealth secretariat, is expected to fetch £65m on its own.
