Labour is on course to retain power in the Welsh Assembly.
After 35 first-past-the-post results out of 40 in the Welsh Assembly election, Labour holds 23 seats, Plaid Cymru has six seats and the Lib Dems have one.
Labour’s strong night came despite one of its cabinet minister Leighton Andrews being beaten by Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood.
Ukip is expected to win its first seat in the Welsh Assembly under the top up system which comes into play after all the votes have been counted.
