Roberta Blackman-Woods has been appointed as Labour’s shadow housing minister.
Blackman-Woods, MP for City of Durham, was previously responsible for planning as shadow minister for communities and local government.
She will be taking the role left vacant by Emma Reynolds, who has been promoted to shadow secretary of state for communities and local government.
She has spoken out in the past about the lack of resources allocated to planning departments.
