Laing Homes has agreed to buy Littlemore House, a listed former mental hospital close to Oxford’s ring road. Laing proposes to convert the building into 120 homes and construct some units in the 5ha (12 acre) grounds.The deal is subject to planning.
NHS Executive’s regional office picked Laing from a shortlist of four developers. Donaldsons and Savills marketed the site last October.
The residential conversion is part of a mixed-use scheme for the 11.4ha (28 acre) site. Japanese pharmaceutical company Yamanouchi has already invested in the site.
