Kitchen gadget specialist Lakeland is to open at Capital Shopping Centres’ Harlequin shopping centre in Watford.
Lakeland will open a two-floor store, including around 4,800 sq ft on the ground floor and 1,100 sq ft at mezzanine level, in early May.
The store is adjacent to Boots and close to John Lewis, WHSmith, River Island and Clas Ohlson.
Lakeland’s move is part of a wider expansion plan for the retailer that will see it open up to eight new stores this year.
Lakeland director Julian Rayner said: “Our new store in the Harlequin will satisfy a long-standing requirement in our hunt for a store in Watford. The town is in the heart of a very large catchment area of Lakeland customers and therefore we are confident it will do well.”
Lunson Mitchenall and CWM advised CSC; Harmer Ray Hoffbrand advised Lakeland.
