Lambert Smith Hampton has hired a former WeWork executive as its head of sustainability and ESG.
Federico Montella was head of sustainability for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the flexible office group until January 2020, having joined as sustainability manager – its first ESG-focused role – in 2018. Earlier in his career he worked at architecture practices including HLM, Sheppard Robson and Aukett Swanke.
In his new role at LSH, Montella will design ESG policy and help to set sustainability targets for the business, which has committed to achieving net zero carbon status by 2030. He will also advise LSH clients on ESG matters. He will work in the firm’s new London headquarters in Fitzrovia.
LSH chief executive Ezra Nahome said: “As an industry there is a growing collective recognition that we need to get a grip on our environmental and social obligations. Serious businesses are taking action now and I hope that we are about to usher in an era of positive and demonstrable progress.”
