Lancashire County Council pension fund buys £19.1m shed

Industrial-shed-THUMB.jpegLancashire County Council Pension Fund has bought a 281,000 sq ft shed at Wakefield Europort, West Yorkshire from IDI Gazeley for £19.1m.

The shed in Tuscany Way is occupied by Bibbys Distribution on a 10-year lease ending in 2026. The rent charged is £4.16 per sq ft.

Rebecca Farnsworth, investment partner at Knight Frank, which advised the purchaser, said: “This is one of the most significant investment deals in Yorkshire this year.

“The region continues to be popular with investors and this sale underlines that.”
