Blue Circle is close to selling some of its property assets in north-west Kent.
The cement producer is also considering selling its half-share in Whitecliff Properties.
Blue Circle issued an upbeat trading statement in which it promised “substantially higher profits” from property disposals. An acceleration of payments outstanding from Bluewater helped the performance. The Kent shopping centre was built on land which Blue Circle previously owned.
