Land Securities has confirmed that it is to prelet 1 New Street Square, EC4, to Deloitte, as revealed by Estates Gazette in February.
Due to complete in June 2016, Deloitte is taking 275,000 sq ft of space on a 20-year lease adding to the 256,000 sq ft of space it already occupies at the adjacent 2 and 3 New Street Square.
Land Securities London portfolio managing director Colette O’Shea said: “Deloitte has been one of our largest and most valued customers in the London portfolio and this expansion into the New Street Square campus allows us to strengthen that relationship further.
“Our significant committed development programme is being delivered into a market which simply doesn’t have enough of the efficient and technically resilient space that today’s businesses require and we are delighted to build on our recent leasing success.”
Deloitte internal client services managing partner David Gill said: “The opportunity to occupy the landmark 1 New Street Square concludes the next phase of consolidating our London campus which we first started in 2009.
