LandAid announces new chief and chair

Paul-Morrish-LandAidPaul Morrish has been named the new chief executive of property industry charity LandAid, while Liz Peace joins as chair.

Morrish joins from charity VoiceAbility, where he is currently deputy chief executive, and will responsible for developing existing corporate partnerships and reinforcing LandAid’s position as the industry’s charity.

His appointment follows the departure of Joanna Averley in October.

Meanwhile retiring British Property Federation chief executive Peace will take up the position of chair as Robin Broadhurst steps down after seven years.

The pair will start their positions in February 2015.

Morrish said: “As the number of children and young people growing up in absolute poverty increases to a staggering one in five, the need for LandAid is greater than ever. I’m looking forward to building upon the tremendous success of the charity to date to ensure that 2014-15 will be another record-breaking year.”

Peace added: “The trustees would like to take this opportunity to express our huge gratitude to Robin, who has been an enormous success as our chairman for the past seven years.”
