Landlords serve Poundstretcher with notice to vacate

Poundstretcher has been served with a notice to vacate stores by 63 landlords, after it launched a company voluntary arrangement.

Since the retailer’s CVA was approved in July last year, 49 category C landlords and 14 category B owners have asked the company to leave their sites, according to the retailer’s latest Companies House filings.

Under the restructuring, which was expected to affect more than 337 of its circa 450 stores, category B and C landlords were given the right to terminate their leases.
