LandSec gets go-ahead for Cambridge scheme

Land Securities’ (LandSec) 100,000 sq ft redevelopment of Bradwells Court, Cambridge, is stepping up negotiations with potential tenants, after the city council backed the scheme last week.

LandSec will replace the 1960s-built shops with three stores of 10,000-20,000 sq ft and five of 1,500-2,000 sq ft, with 15 flats above, increasing density on the site by a third.

The freehold is owned by Christ’s College and Jesus College. LandSec’s 250-year lease will be restructured.

Leslie Furness and Bidwells are joint letting agents. Panter Hudspith is the architect.
