Land Securities has offered to swap its 50% stake in Bristol shopping centre Cabot Circus for the majority of Hammerson’s London office portfolio.
Land Securities owns the £500m Bristol mall in a joint venture with Hammerson.
Hammerson is also considering offers for all and part of its London offices from bidders including Oxford Properties and Brookfield Properties.
It comes after Hammerson revealed earlier this year that it planned to exit its London office portfolio to become a retail specialist.
