Land Securities’ head of retail, Richard Akers, has been appointed to the board of Barratt Developments.
Akers, who joined LandSec in 1995, will join the housebuilder’s board as a non-executive director on 2 April this year.
Barratt Development’s chairman, Bob Lawson, said: “Richard has a broad business experience and a deep knowledge of the property market from a commercial and retail perspective, which will complement the existing skills of the board. I am delighted to welcome him to the board.”
