Land Securities has been granted planning consent for a £15m extension to its The Bridges shopping centre in Sunderland.
The developer will extend the 515,000 sq ft scheme with a three-storey anchor store for budget retailer Primark. The expansion will also create an entrance to the scheme on High Street West.
Work on site is expected to begin this summer.
