Ten pin bowling operator Lane7 has taken 9,343 sq ft on a 25-year lease at Durham’s Walkergate leisure park.
Lane7 has been expanding rapidly since its launch in 2013 and now operates 11 sites across the UK, with more in the pipeline.
Apart from bowling, the new site is expected to offer interactive darts, ping pong, shuffle board and retro arcade games.
Walkergate, which is operated by DTZ Investors, is located close to Durham’s city centre, a short walk from the town’s Market Place, Silver Street and the Prince Bishops Place shopping centre.
Tom Beaumont, associate director in Colliers’ leisure agency team, said: “Lane7 will add to an already impressive tenant line-up including Slug & Lettuce, Ebony Champagne Bar, Nando’s, ASK, JD Wetherspoon and Players Bar. We currently have the remaining vacant unit under offer to a restaurant as well.”
