Langtree buys Warrington estate

Merseyside-based developer Langtree has bought the 120,000 sq ft Warrington Central Trading Estate from Aviva for around £3m

The 11-acre industrial site is north of Warrington town centre, adjacent to Warrington Wolves rugby league club’s Halliwell Jones stadium.

Langtree plans to upgrade units of up to 20,000 sq ft at the scheme. It will also make available 2.5 acres as open storage space.

Martin Mellor, property director at Langtree, said: “Warrington Central Trading Estate is currently only 50% let and, as a big edge-of-town site with good long term potential, it’s a perfect fit for our investment portfolio.

“We will shortly start work on a substantial upgrade programme to enhance the site. We feel that these works combined with the location will position the estate to readily attract new tenants.”
