Developer Langtree Group has secured a £3m grant for its development of the Alchemy site in Knowsley, Merseyside.
The Merseyside Objective One Programme has contributed £2.8m to the scheme, while he Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) has contributed £1.3m.
Langtree will itself pay £5.4m to create ten workspace units aimed at small and medium sized businesses.
Paul Lakin, NWDA Area Manager for Merseyside, said: “Based in a strategic investment area (SIA), the Alchemy site has huge potential to attract significant investment in the area.”
Martin Mellor, regional director in the North West for Langtree Group, added:
“This is our first major project in Knowsley and it fits perfectly with our growing portfolio of successful schemes on Merseyside.”
The 28-acre Alchemy site is situated on derelict land within the Knowsley Industrial Estate.
