Plans have been unveiled for the largest 3D-printed community in the US.
Construction will start next year on the 100-home development in Austin, Texas.
The project is a collaboration between real estate and housebuilding firm Lennar and Icon, which specialises in large-scale 3D-printing technology.
Architectural firm BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group will be designing the houses, which will be produced using so-called “additive manufacturing” – in which objects are printed up one layer at a time.
Lennar has invested £150m in Icon, with plans for more developments.
