Law change to clarify short-term lets in London

Changes to housing legislation currently going through parliament will mean Londoners advertising their homes for short-term lets on website such as Airbnb will be able to do so legally.

The changes will enable homeowners to let individual rooms or a whole house for up to three months a year.

Housing minister Brandon Lewis said current legislation was out of date and was not consistently enforced.
