Baker McKenzie has formally started its search for a new 150,000 sq ft London headquarters.
The firm has appointed Savills to find it new premises in the capital.
Baker McKenzie currently occupies the entire building (c. 160,000 sq ft) at 100 New Bridge Street near City Thameslink train station.
The Qatari royal family’s private property company, Alduwaliya Asset Management, owns the long leasehold on the property, while the freehold is held is the British Railways Board.
Simon Thompson, Baker McKenzie’s London chief operating officer, said: “We are happy to confirm that we have instructed Savills to assist with our London premises strategy project and are looking forward to working with them.
“In the meantime, we are trialling new ways of working in our current workspace to better understand how we work, identify what our real business needs are and to design how we may want to occupy space in the future.”
