LDT plans 22-acre Toshiba factory project

London and Devonshire Trust has submitted an outline planning application for the 22-acre former Toshiba factory near Plymouth.

The plan calls for 166,000 sq ft of mixed-use industrial and business space on a site known as Plymouth Enterprise Park at Ernsettle.

LDT managing director Daniel Stephenson said he was “confident that market conditions are right” for the brownfield regeneration.

“As many manufacturers are looking to bring operations back to the UK, Plymouth, with  the benefit of its maritime port, is becoming increasingly appealing as a business location.”

Four acres immediately next to the PEP site have already been let to bed manufacturer Vi-Spring, Westcountry Storage Solutions and Fulcrum Power Generation.
