Henderson Global Investors’ plans for a 1m sq ft redevelopment of Leadenhall Triangle, EC3, have been recommended for approval by City planning officer Peter Rees.
The £400m office-led scheme, dubbed Gotham City, will see most of the site bounded by 19-21 and 22 Billiter Street, 49 Leadenhall Street, 108 and 109-114 Fenchurch Street, and 6-8 and 9-13 Fenchurch Buildings demolished, to be replaced with a stepped office block ranging in height from seven to 36 storeys.
The Make Architects-designed scheme will include 890,000 sq ft of offices and 20,000 sq ft of shops.
