Legal eagle lands 60,000 sq ft in Notts

Law firm Browne Jacobson has signed the largest letting in Nottingham this year by taking a flagship building in the city.

Browne Jacobson has agreed to take the entire 60,000 sq ft Mowbray House, an empty office building located on the site of the Inland Revenue Complex on Castle Meadow Road.

The law firm has agreed a 10-year lease with landlord Mapeley at a rent of £12.50 per sq ft.

Browne Jacobson will decant more than 380 staff from its Castle Gate and Hounds Gate bases into Mowbray House next year following a full refurbishment to grade A standard.

The law firm also has offices in London and Birmingham and employs 500 staff nationally.

Jones Lang LaSalle advised Mapeley; Geo Hallam & Sons represented Browne Jacobson.
