Legal & General has instructed JLL to sell the freehold of 99 Gresham Street, EC2, for £129.3m – a net initial yield of 4.5%.
The recently refurbished 95,920 sq ft building comprises 70,951 sq ft of grade A offices around the corner from the Bank of England.
L&G acquired the building from LaSalle Investment Management in 2006 for £95m.
Occupiers that have been secured since the refurbishment completed last year include business insurance broker Xbridge Simply Business, CITIC International Financial Holdings and the NHS Trust Federation.
Formally launched this week, it is the latest City office building to be released in a £6bn wave of assets to hit the market.
