LEGO Group has signed a lease for its next London HQ at the 76 Southbank, SE1 formerly occupied by IBM and now owned by Stanhope.
Confirming earlier reporting by Estates Gazette, the company has announced it will occupy 192,000 sq ft across three and a half floors of the six-storey brutalist riverside block.
The space will become home to as many as 1,500 of the company’s employees. Its London-based employees have tripled to 1,100 since it first established its London Hub in 2014 at 8-10 New Fetter Lane.
In doing so, the company will join PayPal, which recently signed for the 40,000 sq ft fifth floor of the building at a rent of around £95 per sq ft. Just the first and half of the fourth floor remain up for grabs in the 300,000 sq ft building, totalling 67,733 sq ft with 5,060 sq ft of terraces.
The deal’s completion adds the company to a growing list of new tenants in the submarket, alongside Allfunds at TBC.London on Tower Bridge Road, SE1, as well as Workplace Futures Group and Flight Centre at Tide at 8 Emerson Street, SE1.
