Designed by Sheffield-based architect Bond Bryan the new site will provide 116,000sq ft of educational facilities on five storeys, including: a major business education facility, recording studios, dance and drama performance spaces and laboratories for science, maths, arts and humanities.
The scheme could generate its own power via a roof-mounted wind turbine, plans are currently being considered by the Leicester City Council.
Work has just started on site and completion is due in summer 2008.
