Two of the leisure sector’s biggest names have signed up to MEPC’s 22,063 sq m (237,491 sq ft) Two Rivers mixed-use development in Staines, Middlesex.
Warners will open a 10-screen cinema complex at a 4,831 sq m (52,002 sq ft) prelet in Winter 2001, while Holmes Place will open an exclusive health and fitness club at a 2,319 sq m (24,962 sq ft) prelet in Autumn 2001.
Other agreed prelets include the new Whitbread concepts, Casa (581 sq m or 6,254 sq ft), Hogshead (595 sq m or 6,404 sq ft), Borders (509 sq m or 5,479 sq ft) and Nando’s (252 sq m or 2,712 sq ft).
Existing retailers at the Two Rivers development include Boots the Chemists, McDonald’s, Toni & Guy, First Sport, Gap, Carphone Warehouse, Waitrose, Costa, Specsavers and Curry’s. A further 4,366 sq m (47,000 sq ft) of restaurant and retail space is still available.
