Lend Lease has got the green light for a £150m residential-led scheme at 408–430 Chiswick High Road, W4.
The London borough of Hounslow has approved Assael Architecture-designed plans for 137 homes and 8,783 sq ft of retail space.
The west London site is currently dominated by Empire House, an obsolete office building opposite Turnham Green Tube station, which has been vacant for a number of years.
Richard Cook, head of residential at Lend Lease, said: “The approval of our planning application marks the first key milestone in our aim to significantly enhance this part of Chiswick and is a further example of our commitment to the regeneration of challenging brownfield sites in London.”
