Homeowners are being offered mortgage holidays by lenders to help them through the coronavirus outbreak.
Royal Bank of Scotland has offered up to three months grace, TSB is offering two months, while Barclays has said it will remove penalty charges on savings account withdrawals and allow temporary extensions to credit limits. Lloyds has said it will defer mortgage payments, overdraft charges and waive fees on missed credit card payments.
But there is still a concern that customers credit scores will still be adversely impacted.
Similar arrangements are also being made for small businesses and those affected by the recent floods.
