Lendlease and London & Continental Railways, joint venture partners of International Quarter London, have secured planning approval for the fourth office building on site in Stratford.
Designed by architect Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the new building will create 280,000 sq ft of workspace across 10 storeys.
Cancer Research UK has agreed terms to take around 100,000 sq ft at the building, known as S9, and the British Council has signed to take circa 50,000 sq ft.
The first two commercial buildings have been prelet to the Financial Conduct Authority and Transport for London.
Jonathan Emery, managing director property, Europe for Lendlease, said: “Completing our second residential tower at Glasshouse Gardens in May and seeing our first two commercial buildings take shape, is a testament to the pace of change happening in Stratford.”
