Lendlease has received planning consent for phase two of its Timberyard development in Deptford, which will be its first purpose built rental scheme in the UK.
Designed by Hawkins\Brown Architects, phase two consists of 251 flats across four buildings and includes various amenity spaces. The phase includes 17 affordable units, with two for affordable rent and 15 for shared ownership.
Overall, the 11.6-acre Timberyard will include 1,132 homes.
Richard Cook, head of residential, Lendlease Europe, said: “The Timberyard Deptford features a number of exciting innovations. The pre-fabricated CLT frame, combined with bathroom pods constructed off-site and green roofs across all buildings, will create a high-quality, sustainable scheme of which Deptford can be proud.”
Phase two should complete in 2020.
