Lewisham House sold for PRS conversion

Citi - Lewisham HouseAn international group advised by Certa Capital has bought a landmark office tower in Lewisham with the intention of turning it into 235 PRS flats.

The 140,000 sq ft Lewisham House, SE13, also known as the Citi Tower, sits within the Lewisham Gateway redevelopment area and was bought from Citibank. It received planning permission in January this year for 247 micro-units.

Private rented sector specialist Joseph Homes worked with Certa Capital in advising the group and will hold a nominal interest in the scheme.

Toby Greville, partner at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “This sale is one of the last major permitted development schemes in London and it is appropriate that the scheme will have exemplar design and environmental credentials while providing a much-needed housing solution in the area.”

Cushman & Wakefield advised Citi; Ashwell Rogers advised Joseph Homes; and CBRE advised the private family office.
