Grainger has been selected as the preferred bidder for a partnership with Lewisham Council to develop and own 232 private rented homes in the area.
The development, on a site at Besson Street in New Cross, will be 35% affordable and will also include a health centre, office space for the New Cross Gate Trust and an outdoor gym.
Grainger called the development an “ethical rental offer” to Lewisham residents, including long-term family-friendly tenancies in its scheme.
With legal agreements underway, the partnership is expected to be launched formally in the spring of 2018.
