Legal & General has appointed Toby Creamer to the new position of head of European transactions in its asset management private markets division to accelerate investment activity across mainland Europe.
Creamer joins from CBRE Investment Management, where he most recently acted as portfolio manager of a €4bn fund. Before this he was senior manager at Rockspring Property Investment Managers and an analyst at AEW Europe.
He will now support the growth of L&G’s real estate investment capabilities, mainly in Western Europe. He will work with a UK team which has driven a similar strategy in the UK on behalf of Legal & General Institutional Retirement, with a focus on sale and leasebacks and development funding.
“I’m excited to be joining L&G’s asset management team following its recent strategic changes,” said Creamer. “Underpinned by L&G’s strong heritage in UK real estate, I’m thrilled to build on these strong foundations through new European transactions, further raising the firm’s profile in these markets.”
