Legal & General Investment Management has appointed a new senior investment associate to its infrastructure team.
Erik Westermark joins LGIM Infrastructure from Lloyds Bank where he focused on infrastructure, energy and acquisition finance.
LGIM Infrastructure forms part of the real assets division of LGIM, which was formed last year when L&G’s direct investment capabilities in property infrastructure were brought together as a single business (LGIM Real Assets).
Westermark’s arrival brings the infrastructure team up to six employees. It has concluded 18 deals to date, the majority of which have been debt investments.
Silja Turville, head of LGIM Infrastructure, said: “The addition of Erik represents part of a further commitment to growing our infrastructure capability. Now with a team of six supported by the wider LGIM network, we have the ability to structure the large and complex transactions across all key infrastructure sectors, coupled with the depth of experience to actively invest in the UK, Europe and the United States.”
