Legal & General is backing a regeneration project in Cardiff, Wales, agreeing a £400m deal to develop the 12-acre Central Square site.
The project is the latest to receive funding from L&G, which plans to invest £1.5bn in infrastructure over the next five years.
The news comes as the government looks to encourage private-sector investment in infrastructure and housing.
