Rosie Toogood has stepped down from her role as chief executive of L&G Modular Homes, as the modular housebuilder nears the conclusion of its redundancy consultation process.
The modular housebuilder has appointed Richard Longley as its new chief executive. Toogood (pictured) will remain at the business as a strategic adviser.
Longley was previously group financial controller at Greencore. He also held the same position at Morrisons. His previous experience includes senior roles at KPMG and Polaris Multi-Academy Trust.
Toogood joined L&G’s modular housing arm in 2017 from Rolls-Royce, where she was a director.
L&G has been consulting on making the majority of its modular housing roles redundant, after ceasing new production at its factory in Selby, North Yorkshire.
At the time it cited factors including long planning delays and the impact of recent events such as Covid-19.
L&G said Longley’s appointment was made as it nears “the conclusion of the consultation process”.
A spokesperson for L&G told EG: “Rosie Toogood will be exiting the business but will continue to act as a strategic adviser, drawing from her many years of experience in the sector. We thank Rosie for her time at L&G Modular Homes and her continued commitment to supporting the business through this process.”
