L&G to buy Thorpe Park stake

Thorpe-Park-4.jpegLegal & General has struck a £162m deal to buy a 50% share of the 200-acre Thorpe Park business park development near Leeds.

The expansion of the park is expected to see 7,000 homes built over five years.

Scarborough Group’s 1.35m sq ft masterplan has consent for a first phase of 60,000 sq ft of offices and 300 new homes.

L&G has pledged a £1.5bn infrastructure investment drive.

Scarborough Group is chaired by Sheffield United co-chairman Kevin McCabe.
