Planning and development consultancy Lichfield has hired Andrea MacGregor-Barbour, a town planning manager from Marks & Spencer, as an associate director.
MacGregor-Barbour, who has 17 years’ experience, has helped secure planning consents for 19 new M&S stores in the past two years.
Ian Anderson, senior director at Lichfields, said: “Her extensive experience in planning and development, coupled with her proven track record at M&S, makes her a valuable addition as we continue to expand our commercial services. Andrea’s insight and expertise will help our clients navigate the challenges of the current planning environment.”
MacGregor-Barbour will advise clients such as McDonald’s and David Lloyd Leisure throughout the planning process.
She said the new role will give her “the chance to work with a broad range of blue-chip corporate clients, seizing opportunities arising from the government’s economic growth agenda”.
