German discount supermarket chain Lidl is to open new stores in wealthy parts of London.
The retailer is searching for locations in Notting Hill, Kensington, Mayfair and Chelsea to reach people who currently shop in Waitrose.
Lidl plans to have 1,200 stores across the country, as its rival Aldi has set a target of 1,000 shops by 2022.
