Lights go on in the City for Bulb

Renewable energy supplier Bulb has agreed to take over Barings’ lease at 155 Bishopsgate, EC2.

It follows the move last year by Barings’ asset management unit to 20 Old Bailey, EC4, where it now occupies 110,000 sq ft.

At 155 Bishopsgate, which is owned by British Land and GIC joint venture vehicle Broadgate REIT, Barings occupied around 80,000 sq ft on a lease that was set to expire in 2025 with a passing rent that was approximately £47.50 per sq ft.

Other tenants in the building currently include Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, The Norinchukin Bank, Lothbury Investment Management and TP Icap’s Tullet Prebon.

Barings declined to comment. British Land has been contacted for comment.

BH2 advises Barings and Bulb is understood to have been advised by BNP Paribas.
