Lindon Homes gets green light for Slough scheme

Galliford Try’s Linden Homes Chiltern has gained planning consent for a mixed-use development in the centre of Slough, Berkshire.

The scheme at 10-14, High Street, will comprise three one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom apartments, and 2,500 sq ft of commercial units.

The 0.22-acre site was previously a disused brownfield site.

Tom Nicholson, managing director of Lindon, said: “Future plans for the Crossrail project, set to commence in 2010, will undoubtedly attract more homebuyers and investors to this key commuter town, driving further demand for increased housing.“

Work is scheduled to begin in the New Year.
